Soy nuevo en este foro. Cuando he visto que estás traduciendo este juego me he registrado enseguida  

En un viaje de pequeño a Francia, tuve la suerte (o milagro) de encontrármelo en una tienda y pude comprármelo. Este juego me había maravillado ya que la revista MEGA FORCE publicada en España, traía un primer reportaje sobre cómo superar el juego. Indicaba hasta la entrada a la torre de Mir, es decir muy poco. La parte restante del reportaje no lo pude ver ya que la publicación de esa revista se canceló en España y el siguiente número no se publicó. Esta revista era la versión española de la versión original de Francia, ahí el motivo por el cual se habló de este GENIAL juego. Lamentablemente este juego no llegó a España ni revistas como hobby consolas ni otras ni lo nombraron, un cero patatero para Sega España y para estas revistas por este gran error.

Gracias al juego disfruté como un enano con sus increíbles y detallados gráficos para esa época, su música genial y pegadiza, y un argumento muy logrado.

Hace unos años intenté también traducir el juego con la opción, como bien ha dicho Kazin, de un italiano que había preparado un programa para hacer las traducciones. Pero cómo desconocía todo (y desconozco) del tema de traducir  juegos, pues se quedó en eso, un intento.


   Doy realmente gracias por haber conocido este juego y haver podido disfrutar de él.


Cómo reflexión final.. he visto en muchos foros que cuando se habla del mejor juego de rol/aventura se hable siempre del Story of Thor o del Soleil, juegos buenos pero que a mi parecer no le llegan ni a los talones al Landstalker. Entiendo que muchas personas que opinaron en ese momento no lo pudieron disfrutar y por tanto no lo conocieron, lo que es una lástima.

Weno, olvidaba preguntarte Kazin respecto a que tal llevas la traducción del juego, y saber en que fechas aproximadas nos permitirás disfrutar de este juegazo en castellano.

Bueno te cuento un poco....

Sigo traduciendo aunque a un ritmo menor, antes estaba en paro y hace un mes y medio empece a trabajar y no ha sido fácil, así que las prioridades mandan..... Esto no quiere decir que no vaya a terminar.
 
Ahora mismo llevo aproximadamente el 50% del juego, ya he terminado Ryuma y Mercator y conseguí solucionar casi todos los problemas de inserción y edición de fuentes.

Sobre fechas no te puedo decir nada, al ritmo que voy no debería pasar de navidades. Espero poder encontrar la forma de acceder a la habitación bloqueada en la versión occidental, aún no he comparado ambas roms a ver si encuentro una diferencia fuera de la zona de texto y gráficos, lo mismo es fácil o lo mismo no doy con ello en mi vida.

Los tres siguen estilos muy distintos que los diferencian entre ellos. Yo desde luego y teniendo en cuenta que tengo y me he pasado los tres, tengo que decir que, por jugabilidad y desarrollo, me quedo con The Story of Thor.

I'm from Brazil and I'm currently working on Landstalker translation for my language (portuguese) too. This great
game doesn't have a portuguese translation yet. I'm using LTT to translate the game, but unfortunately it has some bugs in the script insertion (probably, you know). The game crashes at the beginning when Nigel takes the "Statue of Jypta".

I saw in somewhere on this topic that you had some problems to edit the main title screen, if you wish, I can help you in this part, I edited this graphic sucessfully! I'll post some pics later... ;)

I also translated 100% of the main script, but I can't insert it by LTT, because like I said before, the game crashes. Using the LTT, I could insert about 20% of the main script into the game. More than that, the game crashes...

I could see that you could fix the text insertion. I just need to insert the main script to finish my translation...

Do you can help me to insert the texts? There's a trick to do it?
If you or someone could help me, I would be grateful.

Buenas, solo queria preguntar si la traducción sigue adelante o se ha quedado parada, ya que veo que los mensajes y la traduccion son antiguos, gracias.

Sigue, sigue adelante. No sabría decir en que porcentaje estoy ahora mismo porque comencé la traducción sin simbolos de interrogación y exclamación y ahora estoy con eso, los acentos y la pantalla de inicio.

Los textos ya están insertados hasta que sales de Mercator.

También estoy dando vueltas a ver como puedo activar la sala que censuraron en las versiones occidentales. Tengo que mirar si hay algún código de Action Replay o mirar si hay un debugger que me permita ver en que parte de la rom se encuentra y que diferencias hay con la ROM japo.

Me gustaría liberar la rom cuando todo este testeado en hardware real. Ya he grabado alguna eprom y funciona sin problemas, en Everdrive también.

A ver si la semana que viene que tengo 4 días libres me pongo un poco y avanzo en la inserción del texto.

Estaba leyendo esto, que supongo que ya sabrás, que comenta que al parecer se puede activar un debug menu que puede ir bien para trastear y tal:

Long time ago, I was here to ask for some help about Landstalker translation.
I was using the tool created by Gufino2 (LTT), but it has some bugs and the text insertion doesn't work
properly. I tried to ask for some help here because I noticed that Kazin79 was inserting the texts using
this tool (I don't know how... I NEVER could do it!)  

Because of this, I coded some tools to translate this game by myself to Portuguese Language. My tools
works only in the "U" version, this is the version I decided to translate.
