That game came with such expectation that could have caused such a surprise as Mortal Kombat, unfortunately response controls was very lazy and logy and the music too, so sad...

Another versions was released in CDRom so I suppose they had the assets and all the stuff ready for this canceled version.

Maybe it got cancelled due to how little the SegaCD was selling, or maybe it had something to do with the imminent arrival of Sega Saturn. Although, had this been the case, it would have been released for SS. And that never heppened.
