PLATAFORMA/PLATFORM: SEGA SATURN
-----------------------------------------------------
One of the most controversial of the unreleased Sega Saturn games, together with Virtua Fighter 3, Shenmue and Sonic X-treme, is without any doubt Sonic The Fighters, an arcade game released originally for the Sega MODEL-2, withe the same engine as Fighting Vipers, also for the MODEL-2. Sega was planning to release Sonic The Fighters (remember the Sonic Team disliked the idea at first, and Yu Suzuki/AM2 got to convince them for getting the game done). Finally, when the port was going to be made, and this is pure gossip, Bernie Stolar, opposed to that, because he said it wasn't good for Sonic to appear fighting on any game.
Really, i dobut very much there's something playable of it, even footage. But what is true on a 100%, is that a Saturn conversion was planned, and after those words you can see a flyer of it released around 1996/1997, wich i want to thank about to Mick_Aka and the Segasaturn.co.uk crew.
To end with another rumor, tell that the idea of make it was considered again, during 1998, by AM2, to be released in Japan at August. But that idea is pretty weak, as everything under the sun that was related to Sonic belonged to the PROJECT SONIC by SONIC TEAM , wich we will talk about soon, and as you can imagine, AM2 was really busy those days.
POSIBILIDAD DE UNA RELEASE PUBLICA: PRÁCTICAMENTE IMPOSIBLE
