Vaya   Este fue uno de los primeros juegos que tuve en mi Psx (adquirida la primera semana que se lanzó el DualShock + Gran Turismo), me lo regaló mi padre sin yo pedírselo...el destino, qué cosas, aunque yo no tuviera la Saturn en aquel momento, el destino me lanzaba pistas sobre mi verdadera consola de dicha generación!

Respecto al juego en sí, está claro que yo no he jugado a la versión de Saturn, pero como he señalado, tuve el juego original (no platinum) para PSX... De lo que recuerdo, era un juego decente, sin ver alardes gráficos ni jugables, un juego correcto.
Y respecto lo que quieres escuchar, personalmente y francamente, SSS es bastante mejor juego, gráficamente y jugablemente que Chill. Te insisto en que lo que comento, está basado en un juego bastante lejano en el tiempo, yo por aquel entonces pues tendría 11 años, y ahora que recuerdo mejor, no fue un juego mío, sino que mi padre se lo regaló a mi primo, y lógicamente yo lo tuve en mis manos alguna temporadilla. ayy, que tiempos y qué nostalgia jeje

Sorry this post is in English, perhaps Saturn worshop or other Spanish speaking people can translate it to the rest.
As you all are very enthousiastic about the Sega Saturn and unreleased games thought I'd join here and add some stuff.

Some points;

*The Punisher; it's been a while since we talked, I very much appreciate the fact that you didn't release the games and it's
exactly like you say; the games I bought were (and are) to be showcased in a Saturn book, which would be a little dull if all the
unreleased games were widely available on the internet. That's not to say they won't be ever be released.

*Some Chill facts; I indeed played the game on a modded Saturn (real hardware), I recall booting the game with a system disc wouldn't work or the other way around (= it wouldn't work on a modded US saturn). The game is pretty much complete, I didn't really see much missing apart from some messy texts (fonts) when you do a stunt. The game is playable without problems, it's just not that much fun, tricks are VERY hard to pull off. A video should be no problem.

*I sent Saturn_worship an offer to released Destruction Derby 2 (Saturn version, naturally). It's a lot of money and a one time offer. I'll immidiately add that this prototype is VERY early and should need to some hacking to improve. It's possible to drive around a single track or wreck your car, but that's basicly it.

If anyone is looking for more info on a certain beta/proto featured on the Odds&Ends page let me know.

First of all, tell you that i will post the translated version of your post now:

1.The Punisher, hace bastante tiempo desde que hablamos, y aprecio mucho el hecho de que no lanzara los juegos exactamente como el dice, además tiene razón, los juegos fueron comprados por mi y saldrán en un libro acerca de la Sega Saturn, que quedaría un poco "apagado" si todos los juegos unreleased fueran accesibles por todo el internet...Eso no significa que nunca vayan a ser lanzados.

2.Algunos hechos de Chill: Por supuesto que he jugado al juego en una saturn modificada (real hardware), recuerdo que al bootear el juego con un system disc no funcionaba o no se si era justo al contrario. El juego está prácticamente completo, no veo que falte mucho además de algunas fuentes que aparecen un poco distorsionadas cuando haces algún movimiento especial. El juego es jugable sin problemas, solo que no es excesivamente divertido, los trucos son BASTANTE dificiles de hacer. Un video no va a suponer ningún problema..

Le he enviado a saturn_worship una oferta para lanzar DESTRUCTION DERBY 2 para saturn. Se que la oferta es un poco cara pero sólo la haré una vez. He de decir que este prototipo es MUY EARLY y necesitaria algo de hackeo para mejorar. Es posible conducir por una pista o romper tu coche, pero es básicamente eso.

Si alguien quiere más info de algún proto o beta de mi página simplemente comentadmelo.

No problem about posting in english. This proto/unreleased games board should be bilingual, in fact. If we notice many english speaking people coming and posting more than frequently, we'll have to think about opening an english language proto/unreleased games board, i guess.

We can't wait for that footage video of Chill to see it running. There are some concerns about framerate and other technical aspects, so this would be handy. We would also have a chance to compare it with the PSX version.

First of all, which game is Dream Knight? Can't find any info about this one.
And about your Sonic X-treme proto. Is it the leaked 718 proto or a different one?
Also, how complete is that Werewolf prototype? Similar state to the Major Damage one?

¿Crees que este juego hubiese puesto su granito de arena junto con otros tantos en hacer que el resultado de Saturn obtuviese más éxito? ¿Que tal era la jugabilidad del titulo?

Superjuegos como todas las revistas si es cierto que tenian gente partidaria de unas cosas u otras, ya que obviamente en ella trabajaban personas y cada una tenia su opinión u afición.

Si es cierto que durante una época pensé que el detrimento hacia Saturn era exagerado. Pero observandolo más maduramente, quien primeramente más maltrató a Saturn fué SEGA OF AMERICA y por consiguiente SEGA OF EUROPE dejándola morir como hicieron.

Esperemos la opinión de The Punisher que será más que clave, este hombre puede aportar mucho a este foro!!!!!!!

A ver.. por partes.... el Chill estaba demasiado "verde" para poder competir con el SSS, que para mi era la bomba.. y eso que a mi no me entusiasman los juegos de Snowboard. Habría sido un juego más del "montón", otro "70 y pico" en las reviews de SJ...

Lo de ser partidarios de una cosa o de otra creo que estaba más que claro.. a mi como "ex Sega", me enchufaban todos los juegos de Saturn/32X/MD/GG que llegaban a la redacción, salvo algunas honrosas excepciones que iban a parar al resto de "segueros" de la redacción (Nemesis, The Scope, DeLucar)..
En Sega estaban felices con que yo puntuara los juegos, sabían que no recibirían palos por que si... pero si alguno era malo, hacía "honor a mi seudónimo" sin problemas.

De hecho, yo entré para Mega Sega, pero cuando se cerró, fuí "traspasado" a Super Juegos.

Dream Knight would've been the USA version of Fanta Step. The Sonic Xtreme proto is the the one widely available. The Werewolf proto is pretty early, I did a Youtube video; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogyeHh0htKM

Y por supuesto gracias a todos los que leen este thread y le dan vida, sobretodo al crack de Punisher!!! Tal vez Chill hubiese sido un juego de "70 y pico" más del montón, pero...cuantos juegos tenía PSX así??? o Megadrive y SNES... Al fin y al cabo, ir a una tienda y ver una estantería llena aunque sea de mierda la mayoría, es uno de los mejores marketing de confianza que existen...Saturn y N64 necesitaron más soft y les perjudicó mucho la sensación de "cantidad de juegos" que ofrecía PSX.

Tiene buena pinta este Chill...saldremos de dudas al verlo en acción!.
